The Foundation convenes and advocates for policy shifts, reforms and budget priorities that lead to better community outcomes, such as the expansion of charter schools and the provision of high-quality Pre-K for all children in Massachusetts.
The Foundation’s primary focus is on improving educational outcomes for children and youth in Hampden County through the public education system, with particular emphasis on economically disadvantaged populations.
The Foundation supports the charter school movement and the critical role it plays in improving outcomes for students in Massachusetts. Trustees take a personal interest in the role that charters play as part of the public school system, and have supported the development of a number of charter schools in Hampden County.
